MEET YOUR THERAPIST
Justine Alemany, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Bilingual therapist offering direct, compassionate care. Currently not accepting new clients.
Meet Justine
Hi, I’m Justine! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and I believe therapy works best when compassion and honesty go hand in hand.
I’m known for having a direct, no-nonsense approach. That doesn’t mean therapy has to feel intimidating or overly serious. It means I’ll listen, support you, and also help you take an honest look at the things that may be keeping you stuck.
I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families, supporting clients through trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, chronic illness, and other difficult life experiences.
I’m also bilingual in English and Spanish, and providing accessible mental health care to Spanish-speaking individuals and families is something I’m especially passionate about.
My Approach to Therapy
I believe a strong therapeutic relationship creates the foundation for meaningful progress.
My approach is compassionate, practical, and straightforward. I want you to feel comfortable opening up about what you’re experiencing while also knowing that our work together has purpose and direction.
I incorporate evidence-based approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and other techniques depending on each client’s needs.
Together, we can explore your experiences, identify patterns, develop practical coping strategies, and work toward goals that feel meaningful to you.
I’m here to provide support, but I’m also comfortable asking difficult questions and helping you look at situations from new perspectives when it may be helpful.
Supporting Clients Through Trauma & Difficult Experiences
Trauma can affect people in many different ways.
For some, it shows up as anxiety, depression, or difficulty trusting others. For others, it may influence relationships, emotional responses, or the way they see themselves and the world.
My clinical experience includes supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, abuse, and complex mental health challenges.
Early in my career, I worked with children in an elementary school setting in Boston. I later completed clinical training in an inpatient hospital setting in Worcester, Massachusetts, working with adolescents experiencing significant mental health challenges.
Those experiences shaped my commitment to providing thoughtful, individualized care for people navigating difficult circumstances.
I understand that healing isn’t a linear process, and I work to create an environment where clients can explore challenging experiences without judgment.
Therapy in English & Spanish
¡Hola! También hablo español.
I know how important it is to be able to express yourself in the language that feels most comfortable and natural to you.
For many people, language can be a significant barrier to finding mental health support. Being able to communicate in your preferred language can make it easier to discuss personal experiences, emotions, family relationships, and difficult situations.
I’m passionate about helping reduce those barriers by offering therapy in both English and Spanish.
I strive to provide culturally responsive care that respects each client’s background, identity, and lived experiences.
Working With Children, Teens & Families
My interest in mental health began with a desire to help children and young people through difficult experiences.
Throughout my training and career, I’ve worked with children, adolescents, and families facing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges.
I recognize that young people don’t always have the language or tools to explain what they’re experiencing.
My goal is to provide a supportive environment where they can feel heard, understood, and encouraged while developing healthier ways to manage difficult emotions and experiences.
I also understand the importance of family relationships and the role they can play in a person’s emotional well-being.
My Background & Experience
I earned my Master of Social Work from Boston College and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida.
My professional background includes school-based mental health services, inpatient psychiatric care, and individual and family therapy.
I have also completed additional training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
These experiences have strengthened my commitment to providing compassionate, effective mental health support while making care more accessible to people from different backgrounds.
A Little More About Me
When I’m not working with clients, I enjoy reading, visiting Disney, and going out for brunch.
I appreciate opportunities to relax, spend time doing things I enjoy, and find a little balance outside of work.
I bring that same appreciation for authenticity and connection into my work as a therapist.
My goal is to help you feel supported, understood, and capable of making meaningful changes in your life, with compassion, honesty, and practical guidance along the way.
