Encouraging, nonjudgmental support informed by medical and mental health experience.

Meet Meredith

Hi, I’m Meredith! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and I believe therapy should be a place where you feel genuinely understood while also getting the support and tools you need to make meaningful changes in your life.

My approach is warm, energetic, and interactive. I enjoy getting to know my clients, understanding what’s important to them, and helping them work through the challenges that brought them to therapy.

I work with teens, adults, and older adults experiencing life transitions, chronic illness, anxiety, depression, emotional challenges, and difficult life circumstances. I also have experience supporting individuals and families navigating medical and mental health crises.

My goal is to create a space where you feel accepted, respected, and comfortable being yourself.

My Approach to Therapy

I believe therapy works best when we’re actively working together.

I’m here to listen, but I’m also someone who provides honest feedback, asks questions, and helps you identify practical ways to approach the challenges you’re facing.

Depending on your needs, I may suggest exercises to try between sessions, introduce coping strategies, or help you look at situations from a different perspective.

I incorporate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), solution-focused techniques, and strengths-based therapy.

I don’t believe every client needs the same approach. Our work together will be tailored to your experiences, goals, and what feels most helpful.

Above all, I want you to feel seen, heard, and supported throughout the process.

Navigating Life Transitions, Chronic Illness & Medical Challenges

Life doesn’t always unfold the way we expect.

A medical diagnosis, unexpected health challenge, change in relationships, or major life transition can affect the way we see ourselves and move through everyday life.

I have experience counseling individuals and families dealing with medical complexity and mental health crises, and I understand how overwhelming these experiences can become.

I work with clients to process the emotions that come with difficult circumstances, develop healthier coping strategies, and find practical ways to manage stress and uncertainty.

I also recognize that physical health, emotional well-being, and daily functioning are often closely connected.

My goal is to help you feel more supported and better equipped to manage the challenges you’re facing.

A Practical, Collaborative Therapy Experience

One of the things I value most about therapy is seeing clients recognize their own growth.

Sometimes meaningful progress starts with a small change: responding differently to a stressful situation, communicating a need more clearly, or developing a coping strategy that makes everyday life a little easier.

I enjoy helping clients identify those opportunities and build on their progress.

Our sessions may include exploring thoughts and emotions, identifying patterns, practicing new skills, or developing strategies to use outside the therapy room.

I also use EMDR when appropriate to support clients working through difficult experiences and trauma.

I believe that therapy should provide both emotional support and practical tools that clients can carry into their everyday lives.

Creating a Safe & Accepting Space

Acceptance, respect, validation, and kindness are at the center of my work.

I recognize that everyone comes to therapy with different experiences, identities, relationships, and beliefs.

My goal is to provide a nonjudgmental environment where you can speak openly and feel comfortable exploring what’s happening in your life.

I bring an encouraging, approachable personality into sessions, and I want our therapeutic relationship to feel genuine and collaborative.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before we begin. We’ll work together to understand what you need and take meaningful steps toward your goals.

My Background & Experience

I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of South Florida in 2017 and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida.

My professional experience includes supporting individuals and families through medical and mental health crises, life transitions, and a variety of emotional and behavioral challenges.

I have also completed EMDR training, which allows me to incorporate this approach into my work when clinically appropriate.

Throughout my career, I’ve remained committed to helping clients feel respected, validated, and supported while developing the tools they need to move forward.

A Little More About Me

Outside of the therapy room, I love reading fantasy fiction, working out, and cheering on the University of South Florida football team.

I’m also a big animal lover and enjoy relaxing at home with my two cats and my African Grey Parrot, Archie.

I bring that same enthusiasm, warmth, and appreciation for connection into my work with clients.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing people recognize their strengths, develop confidence, and make meaningful progress in their lives.
